FMC (Family Movie Classics) is now available on DirecTV and DirecTV Stream. The channel went live earlier today, so subscribers should now be able to see it as available in their live guide.
It’s been a bit of a busy day for DirecTV’s subscription services. Earlier today, the company confirmed that MeTV had been added to both DirecTV and DirecTV Stream today. Then, in a separate announcement, the company also confirmed that it had agreed a new, multi-year distribution deal for the two regional sports networks, Spectrum SportsNet and SportsNet LA.
While DirecTV hasn’t officially announced the addition of FMC, Family Broadcasting Corporation has, confirming that Family Movie Classics is now available on DirecTV, DirecTV Stream, and U-verse.
According to Cara Conte, SVP Affiliate Sales of FETV and FMC, “We look forward to entertaining and captivating these viewers with our lineup of curated classic movies the whole family can enjoy.”
For those interested in seeing what the new addition has to offer, FMC is available on channel 314 on DirecTV and DirecTV Stream. U-verse customers can find the network available to watch on channel 172.
As part of the announcement, Family Broadcasting Corporation said that the new deal with DirecTV now means that the total number of subscribing homes has reached 25 million. This is the total number of homes across all services and not just those owned by DirecTV.
FMC first launched in late 2021, and since then, the network has become available through a variety of live TV providers, including Dish Network, Frndly TV, and Philo, among others.
With plans starting at just $6.99 a month, Frndly TV is the cheapest of these providers, which also makes it the cheapest way to sign up to a plan that includes FMC.
