Existing Max Subscribers Can Currently Save More Than Usual With An Annual Plan

Existing Max subscribers can currently save more than usual when switching to an annual plan. Earlier this week, Max launched a new yearly subscription promotion, and unlike most deals, this one is available to existing subscribers as well.

The new promotion reduces the cost of an annual subscription by up to 45%, when compared to paying for a monthly subscription over twelve months. For example instead of paying $9.99 a month for twelve months for the With Ads tier, the $99.99/year With Ads annual plan has been discounted to $69.99 for the first year, resulting in a saving of $30.

While primarily aimed at attracting new subscribers, and especially those interested in watching March Madness games, the same promotion can be a good way for existing monthly subscribers to save on the cost of the next twelve months. In particular, this deal may appeal to those that signed up for last year’s $2.99/month Black Friday deal. As the Black Friday discounted price was only for six months, that discount is likely to expire in May. At which point, the price will automatically revert to the usual $9.99 a month, unless canceled.

For those already subscribed to an annual Max plan, it is also possible to take advantage of this deal as well. However, annual subscribers are not able to extend their current subscription tier at the discounted price. Instead, they will need to switch to one of the other subscription tiers to get the cheaper price.

Regardless of whether on a monthly or annual plan, existing subscribers can switch their plan by logging in to the Max website, hovering over the profile icon, clicking on Subscription, followed by Change Your Plan, selecting the Yearly tab, and then selecting one of the discounted annual plan options.
