Disney+ subscribers can now save $40 on a Walmart+ membership, thanks to the new Disney+ Subscriber Perks program. Besides the free shipping and delivery from local stores, one of the added benefits of Walmart+ is that it also unlocks access to Paramount+ at no additional cost.
Disney announced the new Subscriber Perks program last week. While a number of the included benefits were confirmed at the time, the saving on Walmart+ wasn’t. Disney had explained that it would be offering a special offer on Walmart+ membership soon, but exactly what that offer would be, or when it would go live, was unclear.
That’s no longer the case, as Disney is now offering all Disney+ subscribers the option to save $40 on an annual Walmart+ membership. Considering Walmart+ typically costs $98 a year, this discount reduces the price down to just $58.
As mentioned, Walmart+ also includes a Paramount+ subscription as an additional membership benefit. While Paramount+ offers two subscription tiers to choose from, it is the $5.99/month Essential tier that’s included for free with Walmart+. In other words, the ‘with ads’ tier.
Still, this discount does mean those already signed up to Disney+ can now get a year’s worth of Paramount+ for just $58, while also benefitting from free delivery from their local Walmart store on orders over $35, free shipping from Walmart.com with no order minimum, savings on fuel, the ability to watch select Pluto TV programming without the ads, and much more.
As a reminder, and as is the case with all of the new subscriber perks, the option to save $40 on Walmart+ will only be available through January 2024. For those already signed up to Walmart+, it also looks like this offer is only available to new and returning Walmart+ members.
