DirecTV Stream subscribers currently have access to NBA League Pass at no additional cost as part of a half-season free preview. The free period started yesterday (Jan. 16) and remains available through Monday (Jan. 22).
During this time, all subscribers can tune in and watch games and additional content for free and without having to enable the preview. Considering an NBA League Pass subscription through DirecTV Stream normally costs $22.99 a month, this is a good way to test out the premium subscription at no additional cost.
For those that do decide they would like to retain access to NBA League Pass after the free preview, the premium subscription can be added to any existing DirecTV Stream package at any time. However, if considering adding NBA League Pass, it is worth noting that the NBA is also currently running a half-season sale which makes it possible to subscribe for the remainder of this season for just $49.99.
It should be noted that the NBA’s offer is for the standard NBA League Pass plan. For those that want access to the Premium version (the version typically offered through DirecTV Stream), NBA League Pass Premium is currently available for $74.99 for the remainder of the season through the same half-season sale.
If NBA League Pass isn’t the right subscription, there’s nothing that needs to be done following the free period, as access to the channels and additional content will automatically be removed when the half-season free preview comes to an end.
