DirecTV Stream has now added NFL RedZone and SportsGrid channels to its live guide. While RedZone was known to be coming, SportsGrid is the result of an even more recent distribution agreement.

Back in June of this year, DirecTV confirmed it had agreed a new deal to provide DirecTV via Internet and DirecTV Stream subscribers with access to NFL Network and NFL RedZone. While NFL Network was added soon after, NFL RedZone had remained unavailable.

That’s now changed. NFL RedZone has now started showing up in the Guide section (Channel 211) for DirecTV Stream subscribers. Of course, with the NFL season not due to begin for another few weeks, the channel is unlikely to be showing much, if anything, before then.

NFL RedZone is only available to those signed up to the new Sports Pack add-on from DirecTV Stream. Sports Pack costs an additional $14.99 a month and unlocks access to a number of additional channels, including both NFL Network and NFL RedZone.

As for SportsGrid, this can now be found in the Guide as Channel 4105. Unlike NFL RedZone, SportsGrid is a free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel that offers 24/7 coverage of sports betting.

As SportsGrid is a FAST channel, there’s no additional cost to watch the channel through DirecTV Stream, nor any specific minimum plan requirements.

In fact, a DirecTV Stream subscription is not even needed, considering the 24/7 sports betting network can also be accessed via many free streaming services, including LG Channels and Samsung TV Plus, as well as for free on Roku TVs, Fire TVs, and Vizio smart TVs.

Those already signed up to Fubo, Sling TV, or YouTube TV, should also find that they already have access to the channel as part of their live TV package.
