DirecTV has now launched a new DirecTV Perks rewards program. According to the company, DirecTV Perks is a “first-of-its-kind membership program” that’s available to all existing and new satellite and internet customers.
Eligible customers will need to enroll in DirecTV Perks to begin collecting virtual tokens (points). Tokens are rewarded for different actions, like on-time bill payments or taking part in a weekly spin-to-win contest, Tokens are also rewarded for loyalty-based reasons as well, such as reaching various milestones, like a notable service anniversary.
“DirecTV Perks membership is another way to showcase our commitment to rewarding customers and reinforce our appreciation for their loyalty,” said Vince Torres, chief marketing officer at DirecTV.
Once collected, tokens can then be redeemed for physical and digital rewards, including movie rentals and merchandise. In addition to physical and digital rewards, DirecTV also plans to offer other engagement experiences and options for customers to collect additional tokens.
For example, and in celebration of Valentine’s Day, the company is kicking off the program with a “14 Days of Love” campaign. During the 14-day period (Feb. 14 through Feb. 27), existing DirecTV customers who sign up for DirecTV Perks will have a chance to enter each day to win prizes (gift cards) totaling over $100,000.
For those interested in getting their token stash off the ground, the company has launched a new DirecTV Perks website where existing customers can sign up and enroll in the program using their existing DirecTV user ID.
The launch of DirecTV Perks comes just one week after Sling TV launched its own rewards program. Sling’s Watch & Win Sweepstake Program offers subscribers the chance to win a cash reward for watching movies, shows, sports, and more.
