Spanish shows coming soon with new Curiosity Spanish-Language FAST Channels

Curiosity and Estrella are teaming up to launch a selection of new Spanish-language FAST channels. The new additions are due to go live in the summer and will make their debut on Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s free, ad-supported streaming service.

The first three new FAST channels, Curiosity Español, Curiosity Animales, and Curiosity Motores, will be populated with content from Curiosity’s library of factual films, series, and specials. Specifically, Curiosity Español will offer access to history, science, and space content, while Curiosity Animales will provide a closer look at the wild animal kingdom. Curiosity Motores is advertised as “a joy ride for all types of motor enthusiasts–by land, air, sea, and even space.”

Examples of some of the titles that will be available to watch on these new channels include Engineering the Future (Ingenieria Del Futuro), Rescued Chimpanzees of the Congo with Jane Goodall (Chimpancés Rescatados del Congo con Jane Goodall) and Classic Cars (Autos Clásicos).

These new FAST channels mark a pivotal moment in Curiosity’s strategy to enhance the accessibility of high-quality factual television to an even broader audience,” said Jay Sodha, Curiosity’s VP of Business Development and Partnerships. “Given Estrella MediaCo’s commitment to deliver the absolute best Spanish-language entertainment to the U.S. Hispanic audience, we are thrilled that Curiosity Español, Curiosity Animales, and Curiosity Motores will be among the first Spanish-language factual channels on the Samsung TV Plus lineup of premium television content.”

As Curiosity Español, Curiosity Animales, and Curiosity Motores are being advertised as the first FAST channels to arrive under this partnership, it can be expected that other FAST channels will launch in the future. Presumably, also on other free, ad-supported streaming services as well.
