Comcast is rewarding Xfinity customers with digital keepsakes and other perks for watching the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The new ‘watch to unlock’ Passport to Paris feature involves collecting digital passport stamps, with the more stamps resulting in bigger rewards.
In addition to the standard rewards, Comcast says the first 20,000 participants will unlock a limited-edition Olympic Games Paris 2024 pin and passport stamp.
“One of the great benefits of being a Xfinity Rewards member is exclusive access to new products and features like Passport to Paris,” said Pooja Kapadia, Vice President of Customer Loyalty and Rewards. “The Paris Olympics are a great opportunity to create a first-of-its-kind experience centered around the most anticipated event of the year.”
For those interested in getting started, the new Passport to Paris feature can be accessed by scanning a QR code through The Olympics hub on Xfinity X1, or by heading over to the Xfinity Rewards website.
As Xfinity Rewards is a rewards program, users will need to have created an account before they can collect their digital passport stamps and any rewards they are entitled to.
For reference, Xfinity Rewards members can not only collect stamps for watching select live coverage of the Olympics on NBCUniversal’s network channels, but also when streaming Olympics coverage on Peacock. Along with watching live, stamps can also be collected by taking part in interactive quizzes and polls.
Last week, Comcast confirmed the Paris Olympics will include the debut of the company’s first-ever enhanced 4K viewing experience on Xfinity X1, providing customers with an ultra high-definition viewing experience.
In a separate announcement last week, Comcast and NBCUniversal announced U.S. military service members and veterans can stream the 2024 Paris Olympic Games for free, thanks to a partnership with The Army & Air Force Exchange Service.
