Google has dropped the price of its Chromecast with Google TV streaming player to $39.99 for Black Friday. Although not the most powerful streaming player around, the Chromecast with Google TV is a highly useful and popular device for accessing a variety of streaming apps. At this price, it makes even more sense to pick one up if in need of a streaming player.
Google launched its latest Chromecast back in 2020. Unlike the previous versions that came before it, the Chromecast with Google TV is a much more robust device. Not only does the newer version come with its own remote control, but the inclusion of Google TV removed the need for users to connect their mobile devices to access apps.
The Chromecast with Google TV typically costs $49.99, but can now be picked up for just $39.99 as part of a Black Friday sale. The price reduction is already in effect on the Google Store and will remain at the discounted price up until December 25, 2021. This lengthy sale period not only makes it an option for those looking to score a Black Friday deal on a streaming player, but also an option for those looking to pick up a Holiday gift for someone.
As per usual, there is the typical ‘while supplies last’ disclaimer in place so although the discounted rate is due to remain in effect until Dec. 25, consumers may find that stock runs out before then. This can be particularly true for certain colors. The Chromecast with Google TV is currently available to buy in Snow (white), Sky (blue), and Sunrise (pink) color options. Though again, some colors tend to be more popular than others and are likely to sell out quicker than others.
For those that don’t want to purchase through the Google Store, it can be expected that some other third-party retailers will be offering the same deal. For example, Best Buy is one of those that has already dropped the cost of a Chromecast with Google TV down to $39.99 to match Google’s Black Friday sale price.
