buddi is a new streaming service that “creates and curates family-friendly content by pet people, for pet people.” The streaming service is available now and a subscription costs $7.99 a month.

In addition to the standard monthly plan, buddi also offers a $79.99/year annual subscription option, which works out to roughly $6.67 a month on average. Regardless of whether signing up on a monthly or annual basis, all new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial, making it possible to test out the service before paying.

As this is an ad-free streaming service, all subscribers are able to stream the entire buddi catalog without ads. Speaking of the catalog, buddi offers access to a selection of movies, shows, documentaries and live channels. This is in addition to a variety of educational content that can help pet parents learn more about health, nutrition, grooming, traveling, and more.

Like most people who use streaming services, I used to spend more time scrolling through titles than watching anything,” says buddi co-founder Layla Kasha. “We love animals and wanted to create a service for people like us—people who want to watch educational and entertaining content about dogs, cats, and other companion animals that’s fun for people of all ages. So we came up with the idea of buddi to bring together all the animal-related content we could find in one place.”

As this is a new streaming service, device support appears to be a little limited at the moment. For example, buddi is primarily available to access via the website, on Android TV and Apple TV devices, and on Android mobile, iPhone and iPad.
