Apple and Major League Baseball have confirmed that Friday Night Baseball will be returning to Apple TV+ later this month. The return will mark the third year in a row that Apple TV+ subscribers can tune in to watch baseball on Friday nights.

Last year did see a change in the fact that an Apple TV+ subscription became a requirement. While Friday Night Baseball had always been marketed as an Apple TV+ benefit, Apple largely made games available for free during the first year to anyone with access to the Apple TV app.

Similar to last year, an Apple TV+ subscription will be required to watch Friday Night Baseball during the 2024 Major League Baseball season. A weekly doubleheader will be available throughout the regular season, beginning Friday, March 29 with New York Yankees at Houston Astros (7:30 p.m. ET), and St. Louis Cardinals at Los Angeles Dodgers (9:30 p.m. ET).

We’re so excited to bring fans another great season of ‘Friday Night Baseball’ on Apple TV+,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services. “We have an outstanding lineup of games for Apple TV+ subscribers to watch across all their favorite devices, and an incredible group of talented broadcasters returning to bring fans closer to the games every week.”

Along with confirming the opening weekend’s doubleheader, Apple has also now announced the Friday Night Baseball game schedule through June 28.
