Amazon’s Fire TV line of devices are now on sale to celebrate Alexa’s birthday, with prices starting as low as $17.99. The discounted products provide an even cheaper way to start streaming or pick up a device for use in an addition room in the home.
Fire TV is Amazon’s own operating system and runs on Fire OS. The interface is highly integrated with Amazon’s other services, making it a great solution for frequent Prime Video users. Although many other popular streaming services can also be downloaded on Fire TV.
The Fire TV Stick Lite is Amazon’s latest streaming solution, announced in September of 2020. Priced at $29.99, it offers a more affordable way to stream video than the company’s other HDMI dongle devices. With the recent price drop, the Fire TV Stick now costs $17.99, making it an even more affordable solution.
The Fire TV Stick Lite is not the only device joining in Alexa’s celebrations. In fact, many Alexa devices have seen a price drop with smart displays, speakers, and other smart home products on sale. However, for streaming, the other Fire TV Stick solutions are also worth checking out.
Other Fire TV devices on sale
Besides the Lite, the newest Fire TV Stick with Alexa remote has dropped from $39.99 to $27.99. In addition, the Fire TV Stick 4K is down from $49.99 to $29.99, matching the recent Prime Day discount.
For streamers in need of a more robust solution, there’s the Fire TV Cube. This unit is not only more powerful and loaded with more storage than Fire TV Sticks, but it also comes with its own built-in speaker. Typically priced at $119.99, the Fire TV Cube is now down to $79.99.
Overall, the best two options on sale here are the Fire TV Stick Lite and the Fire TV Stick 4K. The first is ideally suited to those looking for budget device while Amazon’s 4K Stick will fill in the missing 4K playback quality for those that need it.
