Why You Should Always Sign Up To Sling TV Through The Website

Sling TV Free Trial Streaming Better

A number of people have probably downloaded the Sling TV app on one of their devices before signing up to the service. While there’s nothing wrong with subscribing through one of its apps, the Sling TV website is nearly always going to be the better (and cheaper) way to sign up.

Sling TV is a little different to other live TV streaming services and the signup process is one of the areas where a difference can be seen. While most other live TV streaming services tend to offer a free trial to new users, Sling only offers a free trial when signing up through one of its apps. Even then, whether someone is offered a free trial will often depend on which app they are attempting to sign up through.

In general, those signing up through the website are highly unlikely to be offered a free trial. In spite of this, the website is still a better way to sign up. The main reason we say this is that the Sling website is typically the only place to take advantage of an actual deal. For example, it is often the only way to get a discount on the first month.

Sling TV is almost always running a number of different promotions at the same time. Right now, for example, new subscribers can pick from one of the following deals:

  • Half-off first month
  • $10 off for 4 months
  • 30 days of Showtime and MGM+ for free
  • Free Fire TV Stick and $15 off first month
  • Free HD antenna (prepay 2 months)
  • Free AirTV 2 and HD antenna (prepay 3 months)
  • Free AirTV Anywhere and HD antenna (prepay 3 months)

The exact number and variety of deals available at any given time will vary depending on when someone is looking to subscribe. However, there is almost always multiple promotions available, and almost all of them are always only available through the website.

In contrast, Sling TV is far more likely to only offer a 3-day free trial when attempting to sign up on a smart TV or streaming player. Even though three free days is better than nothing, paying for two weeks and getting four is a much better deal. As is a streaming player with one month of live TV for the price of one month of live TV.

Even if Sling does offer a discount or a free device through one of its apps, the user is likely to be directed to sign up through the website to take advantage of the offer. With this in mind, you may as well just sign up through the website to begin with.

The bottom line is that how someone signs up to Sling TV usually determines what promotions they are offered. In our opinion, they will nearly always be offered a better deal when signing up through the website.
