ABC and other local channels are currently not working on YouTube TV. Google’s live TV streaming service is aware of the issue and is currently working on a fix for the problem.
It is not unusual for channels to be removed from a streaming service, and especially following a dispute. In spite of YouTube TV subscribers currently receiving a This video has been removed for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service message, that’s not the case.
A YouTube TV Community Manager has confirmed that this is the result of an error and says that “We’re working with our teams on fixing this.” Unfortunately, the post was unable to provide any details on how long the fix will take.
A similar message was also posted to the TeamYouTube X account, again, confirming the issue and that the team is working on a fix.
While the post also didn’t specifically mention which channels are affected, it does seem to be mainly local channels. Specifically, we’ve seen a good number of reports confirming that ABC is definitely impacted.
We have also seen some reports confirming local NBC stations are impacted. While not confirmed, we suspect the issue likely affects other local stations as well.
Basically, if you are currently seeing a This video has been removed for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service message when trying to watch YouTube TV, it is an error, and a fix is currently being worked on.
