10 Atlanta Hawks 2023-24 season games will be broadcast on Gray’s Peachtree TV. The deal will make it possible for those in the Atlanta area to watch these games without the need for a live TV package.
As was the case with NBA teams in general, Atlanta Hawks games were previously shown on Bally Sports. However, with Diamond Sports Group (the owner of Bally Sports) going through bankruptcy motions, various teams have been making new deals for the remainder of this season and beyond.
As part of the NBA’s agreement with Diamond Sports Group, Atlanta Hawks games are returning to broadcast TV for the first time in decades. Beginning Jan. 12, the deal will see nine of the remaining Friday night games shown on Peachtree TV. Basically, all of the remaining Friday night games other than the March 8th game at Memphis.
The tenth and final game due to be shown on Peachtree TV will be March 10th’s matchup against New Orleans.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to give Hawks fans a new, free way to watch our games this season,” Atlanta Hawks & State Farm Arena Executive Vice President/Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Saltzman said. “We are thankful to Peachtree TV and Gray TV for making this a reality and look forward to returning the Hawks to our historic local partner for our Friday games.”
According to the details, the games will also be simulcast on Gray television stations (via Peachtree Sports Network) in Albany, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, and Savannah in Georgia and in Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville, and Montgomery in Alabama. Peachtree Sports Network launched back in October as a way to deliver live, local sports programming across the state.
